The eleven University Maths Schools

Specialist sixth forms for mathematics, each partnered with a university, opened across England from 2014. Every one of them is part of the association; every former pupil of every one of them is welcome.

What a University Maths School is

A maths school is a small state sixth form, free to attend, that takes pupils at sixteen who want to study mathematics seriously alongside further mathematics, physics and often computer science, and that is run in partnership with a university mathematics department. The first two, in Exeter and at King's College London, opened in 2014. The schools also run outreach for younger pupils and for maths teachers in their regions.

Because the schools are small and young, their alumni are few enough to know one another and numerous enough, added together, to be a real network. That is the gap this association fills.
