Free to join, and yours to shape

Membership is open to everyone who left a University Maths School. It costs nothing. A supporter tier, at fifteen pounds a year, is there for people who want to cover the running costs.

Supporter

£15a year

Everything a member gets, and you keep the lights on: the association's running costs are a few hundred pounds a year, and supporters cover them.

Join as a supporter

Life and honorary memberships will follow once the association incorporates. Supporter payments are taken on the member site and can be stopped at any time.

How joining works

  1. Ask for an account. Tell us your name, which school you went to, roughly when you left, and an email address. It takes a minute.
  2. We check you are one of us. A volunteer confirms you left one of the schools, using the schools' own records where they can and asking you where they cannot. This is what keeps the directory trustworthy.
  3. Sign in with a link. There is no password. Each time you sign in, the member site sends a fresh link to your email address.

What you get

The member site holds your profile, which you write and control; a directory of other members, with the visibility each of them has chosen; and dashboards of the whole alumni body, school by school and all together. Events, reunions and the newsletter reach you by email, only if you have asked for them.

Who can join

Anyone who left a University Maths School, from the first cohorts of 2016 onwards, whether you finished the course or not. Current pupils cannot join while they are at school: every member is an adult who chose to be here. Staff and former staff membership is planned; until then, get in touch and we will find a way to involve you.

Leaving

Delete your account from the member site and everything about you goes with it. The U-Maths Alumni Association is a body you join because you want to, and one you leave the same way.
